Previously Known as Campbell Kennels 


Ryan and Vicci Sontag purchased Campbell Kennels in July of 2025 from Brett and Shauna Campbell to continue the legacy the Campbells have spent decades building generation after generation. The Campbells built this family run dog kennels and have ran it since 1975 and we are wanting to continue to build this legacy they started and continue providing the same amazing care and attention to your furry family members while you are away knowing your animals will get the best of care in your absence.

We chose the name Cared For Kennels for 2 reasons.  The biggest reason is our children.  Cared is actually an acronym for their names.  Our children are Ryan, Carleigh, Aaron, Destinee and Everly.  Our youngest daughter decided when the new baby arrived that if you scramble up the first initials of all their names it makes the word CARED.  It was perfect!  We were in the process of purchasing this business and so we started finding ways to implement Cared into our name.  The 2nd reason is we know that while you are away you want your animals not just fed, watered and taken out potty but you want them cared for like they are our own.  So Cared For Kennels came into play for the name and we felt it fit perfectly!  Just know that while you are away we will care for them like they are our own family members.  

 

We will provide your furry family members with a clean, comfortable, secure, fun and loving environment at Cared For Kennels.    We treat your dog like it is our own! We don’t believe in charging you for everyday things, like letting them outside, feeding or medicating them. We believe your dog should be returned to you happy, clean, and a little tired from a busy kennel stay!


Cared for Kennels is an easy access location in Richland just off Van Geisen on 5 acres.  We have indoor and outdoor runs and let dogs out multiple times a day!  We have two sizeable grassy play/potty areas.  Our indoor facilities are heated and air-conditioned.  We provide bedding but you are welcome to bring your dogs favorite blanket or toy to make them feel more at home during their stay.  We have a great relationship with several local veterinarians.  We live on the premises and have the ability to monitor your furry friend closely.
